June 23-27 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
The theme for Summer Splash 2014 is "Hands and Feet." We will explore the many ways that kids can be the hands and feet of Christ. Through artistic expression, physical wellness, mission, language, and worship, kids will learn to live out their love of God.
Kids can pick their top three picks from six different workshop options. All kids will be assigned to two of their top three picks for the week. Each day will begin with worship in the sanctuary, and a review of the day's Scripture verse. From there they will spend 45 minutes at their first workshop. After a healthy snack break, kids will spend time in their second workshop before returning to the sanctuary for closing worship.
Once again, WOW Wednesday will be a fun twist on the week's events. On Wednesday, we will focus on "Wholeness and Holiness." Kids will learn about how hunger affects kids in their own neighborhoods. They will also learn about how to take care of themselves through good nutrition, exercise, and prayer. We're hoping the Moline Fire Department will make an appearance to teach the kids about safety.
The beauty of Summer Splash is choice. All of the teachers are choosing to teach something which they care about passionately. All of the students will choose which workshops in which they want to spend their time.
Registration is closed. Walk-Ins are welcome.
